Barack Obama is a hypocrite and a liar
Barack Obama is proving to a lot of people that democracy is dangerously sick in the United States. I voted for the man and will admit to having had some hopes that he potentially represented something progressive. I, like many, was fooled. He’s proven himself to be nothing more than a typical Wall Street politician with all the elitist anti-worker, anti-majority world views that entails. I didn’t vote for Emanuel, Summers, Geithner, Bowles-Simpson, Hooverian economic policies, expanded war, criminal violations of civil rights, rising domestic surveillance, give aways to the pharmaceutical and health insurance industries, and likely extensions of high income tax cuts. Few who supported Obama voted for this, but it’s what we got.
The republicans represent wealth and are upfront about it. Obama, in contrast, is a hypocrite.
Hypocrisy: the state of pretending to have beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities, or standards that one does not actually have. Hypocrisy involves the deception of others and is thus a kind of lie.

Agreed – Obama is a liar and a hypocrite. Is sensed this years ago when I first heard him speak at the Dem convention 04′. When he appeared on the cover of Time in the fall of ’06 I knew the fix was in. I tried to warn people but nobody would listen, and the “progressive” websites deleted or shouted down my comments. What does this say about the “progressive media”?
Both parties get their money from the same billionaires and big corporations, so they execute the same policies in different flavors. The only real difference is their sales pitches and who they pitch (lie) to. These guys are all actors pitching for the same sponsors; Obama’s stage persona is “Community Organizer”, Bush’s was “Texas Cowboy”, Palin’s is “Grizzly Mom” and Clinton’s was “Man from Hope”. Democracy in this country has been almost completely hijacked by the billionaires and the big corporations.
